PMHNP MBABusiness school for private psychiatric practice

The Business Fellowship · the founding fifty

One practice on the board every Sunday. Yours when you say so.

You already keep a CPA and a lawyer on retainer. This is the third one: the business side of the practice, for the price of a couple of hours of either. The free lessons work each decision on a composite; here it's worked on a real practice, one from my own circle, blended past recognition. Yours goes on the board when you send it and say so, and most people watch a few Sundays first. Every Sunday at 4:00 PM Arizona the case review goes live, and the eight lessons are being taught live on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM Arizona, each one landing in the classroom the next day. Join any week; every session is kept as a page you reread on a Monday.

Join the business fellowship — $99/mo Founding price, locked for as long as you stay. Week one is money-back: say it wasn't for you and it's refunded. Membership is verified.
Time Two evenings a week while the eight lessons are taught (Wednesday 6:00 PM Arizona, Sunday 4:00 PM Arizona, an hour each), then Sundays only.
Money $99 / month founding, locked for as long as you keep the seat, and $149 after.
Commitment Month to month No contract. Cancel any time, and week one is money-back on request.
  1. Any weekThe room is open on Skool, founding price for the first 50, every member verified. Join, answer the three questions, and week one starts that night.
  2. Wednesday · 6:00 PM ArizonaThe lesson, live, while the eight are being taught. The replay is in the classroom by Thursday, so the ones before you joined are waiting.
  3. Sunday · 4:00 PM ArizonaThe case review, every week, live only. One practice on the board, yours when you say so. The page lands Monday.

Arizona time: the same as Pacific through October, one hour ahead of it from 1 November. 7 PM Eastern on Sunday, 9 PM on Wednesday.

The week you join · what you get right away

Not a course to start someday. Log in and something happens the same night.

Day one

Your numbers through the machine.

Market Pulse and the directory audit are free, so run them before you join. What the room adds is the part a tool can't do: paste your Psychology Today link and I write the brief by hand, then reply within a day with the three changes to make first, in order. Not a score, but a to-do list with reasons, from a person.

Day one

See what a full review looks like.

A complete listing review and a complete systems review (EHR, intake, scheduling, billing flow, credentialing, the collab agreement) on a composite practice, in the classroom. So you know what "fixed" looks like before you fix anything.

Your first week

The lesson, the worksheet, the case review.

Wednesday's lesson with a worksheet you fill with your own numbers; Sunday, one practice on the board as the case and everyone checking theirs against it. Send yours and say so, and you're in the queue for the board.

The school is the education and the reply. When you want hands on your practice, that's the next tier, below.

Why fifty, and why a founding price
  • Fifty is the most one room can hold and still get a reply from me within a day.
  • The first fifty set the case files the school runs on afterward. Every composite in year two starts as someone's real Sunday in year one.
  • So the founding seats cost less, stay at that price for as long as you keep one, and end at fifty. After that it's $149, and new-member pricing keeps rising as the room grows. What you join at is what you keep.
  • And founding isn't just a cheaper seat. The private hour each quarter and the group chat only work while the room is small, so they're offered honestly, to the fifty, for as long as you stay. Later members pay more and get less.
The eight lessons · in the order that doesn't waste a year

They're being taught live on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM Arizona through 21 October, one a week, and each one is in the classroom the next day, so join in week six and the first five are waiting. Sunday works one practice's real numbers, from both chairs, the person signing the offer and the person writing it. The case is one I bring until you ask for yours.

  1. 01 The ModelCash, insurance, platforms. What one visit actually leaves you.
  2. 02 The EntityEntity, EIN, NPI, malpractice. Four systems, not one recipe.
  3. 03 Credentialing & ContractingThe gates between you and the first paid claim.
  4. 04 Multistate, DEA & Telehealth LawLicense ≠ DEA ≠ PECOS ≠ tax nexus.
  5. 05 The Collaborating PhysicianThe term sheet, the walk-away, the price of a blank box.

After the eighth Wednesday it's Sundays only, live, going around again on your numbers.

The live case · New Mexico, A to Z

Horizon Peak Health practices in Arizona and California. While you're inside, I'm expanding it into New Mexico, and you watch every step as it actually happens: the license application, the DEA, the entity and malpractice paperwork, the payer enrollments, the first New Mexico patient. Real forms, real fees, real waiting, dated as they land, and a five-minute "New Mexico minute" at the top of every Sunday session. Not a case study written afterward. One happening on the calendar, once.

Wednesday · 6:00 PM Arizona

The week's lesson, live, about an hour. Miss it and the replay is in Skool by Thursday; the worksheet comes with it.

By Saturday

Everyone fills the worksheet with their own numbers. Never a chart, never a patient.

Sunday · 4:00 PM Arizona

Sixty minutes: one practice is the case, and everyone checks their worksheet against it. Yours when you say so.

Monday, and between

The page lands: the case, the numbers that don't change, what to do this week. Ask any day; I answer within a day.

Your worksheet is on the table every week; one practice is the case each Sunday, mine or a peer's, blended, until you send yours and say so. Then you're in the queue.

Employed, owner-operator, or running three sites. The mechanisms don't change; your numbers do.

Canybec Sulayman, PMHNP-BC, MBA

I own Horizon Peak Health, diagnostic psychiatry in California and Arizona: three offices, two state licenses, in-network and cash. I built Psynopsis, the software it runs on. UCLA Anderson MBA, 2016. I've paid a collaborating physician off a blank box, sat in the credentialing wait in two states, and written the offer for the second PMHNP on my own practice. The business fellowship is the school I'd have paid for in year one.

PMHNP MBA: Foundations

All eleven lessons, the question universe, the worksheets and the two tools. Everything that costs nothing to hand over.

The difference isn't information. The lessons are the same either way. What you pay for is an hour of mine on your numbers.

The price
Founding · the first fifty $99/ month Locked for as long as you keep the seat, and it ends at fifty. New members pay more later; you never do. Week one money-back.
After founding $149/ month Month to month, cancel any time.
  • Day one: your Psychology Today brief, written by hand, and my reply within a day
  • The case review every Sunday, live, and the eight lessons, live on Wednesdays while they're taught, then in the classroom
  • Every session's page, kept for as long as you're a member
  • The worksheet each week, filled on the board with real numbers, not the composite
  • A reply within a day, from me, not a moderator
  • Founding members: 1 private hour a quarter, on your calendar. The denial letter arrives, or the collaborating physician gives notice, or a payer changes policy mid-quarter and your Tuesday just became a problem. Book the hour and bring it. Yours to use or not; it doesn't roll over, and it isn't part of the price later.
  • Founding members: the group chat. The other founding operators, capped at fifty so it stays a room and not a feed. No patient detail, ever; that rule is the price of admission.
  • Founding members: 50% off Psynopsis for six months, the AI documentation tool my own practice runs on. I own it, so treat that as a disclosed benefit, not a neutral recommendation. The lesson teaches how to price any tool; alternatives are fine.
This is for you if
  • You're a psychiatric NP, psychiatrist or PA: employed and deciding, launching, open, or running more than one site.
  • You'll bring real numbers. The case review only works on real numbers.
  • You want the decision made, on a Sunday, not discussed for a year.
This isn't
  • CE credit, a clinical fellowship, or a credential.
  • A done-for-you billing, credentialing, or marketing agency.
  • A guaranteed income, or legal, tax, or clinical advice. Run the contract past your attorney; run the numbers here first.
  • For people who sell courses or communities to PMHNPs. Membership is verified against your NPI or license; competitors are removed and refunded inside week one.
Questions
When can I join?
Any week. It's open now, on Skool. The case review is every Sunday at 4:00 PM Arizona, and the lesson is Wednesday at 6:00 PM Arizona while the eight are being taught. Your first week is the same whenever you arrive: the brief, the reply, the worksheet, Sunday.
What if I join in the middle?
There's no middle. Each Sunday stands alone, and every lesson already taught is in the classroom the day after it was, so join in week six and the first five are waiting.
Why those days?
The lesson is Wednesday at 6:00 PM Arizona, after clinic. The case review is Sunday at 4:00 PM Arizona, the end of the one day a clinician can work on the practice instead of in it. Arizona time: the same as Pacific through October, one hour ahead of it from 1 November. 7 PM Eastern on Sunday, 9 PM on Wednesday. Once the eighth lesson is taught it's Sundays only.
Is there a free trial?
No: it's $99 at the door, month to month, and week one is money-back. Wasn't for you? Say so and I refund it. Paying at the door keeps the room to people who mean it.
Why do you ask for my NPI when I join?
Because this room is for practicing clinicians and people launching. Every member is verified against the public NPI registry before their first Sunday. Operators of competing courses and paid communities are removed and refunded, and the live New Mexico record is for paid members only.
How do I join?
Through Skool: the button takes you to the group. Answer the three questions (where you are, what you're stuck on, your NPI), then it's $99 a month. Cancel any time from your Skool settings.
Is it recorded?
The Wednesday lesson is. The replay stays in Skool, so miss it and watch it Thursday. The Sunday case review is live and never published. What's kept is the page: the case, the numbers that don't change, and what to do Monday morning.
Is this coaching?
It's a school with a reply. You get the lesson, the worksheet with your numbers on it, the Sunday case review, and an answer from me within a day. Want hands on your practice, my team building the listing, the stack, the intake? That's the next tier, and it opens after the founding fifty.
Do I need to own a practice?
No: every module is taught from both chairs: the person signing the offer and the person writing it. Most solo practitioners still work somewhere.
Can a nurse practitioner open their own practice?
In every state; the question is under what terms. Full-practice-authority states let you open without a physician; the rest require a collaborative agreement, and its price and terms are the real gate. That's week 4 (multistate, DEA, telehealth law) and week 5 (the collaborating physician), worked on your state, not in general.
What does a collaborating physician cost?
Whatever you agree to, which is the problem. Most first agreements are priced off a blank box, against fear, with no second option in hand. Week 5 builds the term sheet and the walk-away, so the number is yours, not theirs. No fee on this page is stated as current; yours gets worked live.
Is this a clinical fellowship?
No, it's business education for clinicians: not a credential, not CE, not legal, tax, or clinical advice.
What does “locked” mean?
Founding members pay $99 a month for as long as they keep the seat. It doesn't rise when the public price goes to $149.
Can I cancel?
Monthly, and cancel any time; the seat goes to the next name on the list.
How much time each week?
About two hours while the eight are being taught: an hour Wednesday, an hour Sunday, and the worksheet between. Then about ninety minutes once it's Sundays only. Nothing to binge, nothing to catch up on.
What if I miss a Sunday?
Each week stands alone, so you're never behind. The page lands Monday, and your questions still get a reply within a day.
What if I join and then don’t use it?
That's why it's live and weekly, not a library. Your worksheet is due Saturday, and every Sunday a practice goes on the board. Send yours and say so, and it's you. The structure does the remembering. And it's monthly: if it isn't earning its seat, cancel.
